Applies to:

Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 7.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Why are some servers able to have file uploads done to them via the GUI and other servers were not. The ones that failed saw a "Transfer to _imi failed" error in the GUI.
This is referring to Main Menu: Status & Manage -> Files [Upload] via the GUI.

Typically these issue are address via the document 2054660.1 However those steps did not address this case.

Solution

Servers that could not do upload had the following entry in their /etc/ssh/sshd_config file:

DenyUsers bin daemon adm lp sync shutdown halt mail news uucp operator games  ftp nobody rpm dbus nscd vcsa apache rpc haldaemon sshd avahi ostfix hacluster rpcuser nfsnobody named distcache ntp tpdProvd xfs mailnull smmsp pcap tklcppp webalizer postfix rtkit saslauth pulse dhcpd nslcd tcpdump pmacuser pmacadmin pmachelp pmacd mysql dbadm awadmin radvd qemu tvoexfer awinstall

The word "awadmin" as the 5th word counting from the end of the line. This entry cause the "Transfer to _imi failed" error in the GUI.

When awadmin was removed from this entry upload functioned without error.
The DenyUsers entry is not included in /etc/ssh/sshd_config file by default.
