In this Document
Created from <SR 3-14170296901> Applies to:Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 7.0.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform. GoalThe goal of this article is to explain one condition under which the DSR may appear to ignore received Answer messages, resulting in pending answer timer expiry for the exchange. SolutionThe DSR will not match an Answer to a stored Request if the Answer message is received on a connection different from the connection the on which Request was sent. The DSR will check the Hop-by-Hop ID, IP Address, port, and protocol stored from the Request to pair against the received Answer. If any do not match, the Answer is discarded as an 'Orphan Answer'. Eventually the PAT expires and the originating Request peer is sent an Error Answer (3002).
