- PROBLEM OVERVIEW: XSCFU has Failed and needs Replaced.
- WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?:

System-stopped maintenance
Maintenance work is performed while all the physical partitions are powered off and input power of the cabinet on which the target FRU is mounted is off (power cords are disconnected).

- WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE?:

System-stopped maintenance

Caution - Before you handle any components, be sure wear a wrist strap to ground any static electricity. If you perform this procedure without a wrist strap, individual components or the overall system may be seriously damaged

- Remove the LAN cables, USB memory, and other components connected to the XSCFU.

- Lower the cable support if it is present

- Loosen the two fixing screws at the top and bottom of the XSCFU to release the levers.

- Open the two levers of the XSCFU to the right to disconnect it from the BPU.

- Remove the XSCFU with its levers open.

Switching the SD Card ( if applicable )

- Remove the fixing screw of the protective cover, and remove the cover from the XSCFU.

Note - After switching the SD card, return the SD card that is installed in the replacement XSCFU. Install the card in the faulty XSCFU, and return both the card and the unit together.

- Release the lock by pressing the SD card, and remove the card from the XSCFU.

- Insert the SD card in which the firmware to be used is installed into the socket of the XSCFU. Secure the SD card by pushing it until its latch locks into place.

- Reinstall the protective cover and fixing screw.

Installing the XSCFU

- Insert the XSCFU into the BPU with the XSCFU levers open.

- Close the XSCFU levers to connect the XSCFU to the BPU.

- Tighten the fixing screws in the levers to secure the XSCFU.

- Connect the LAN cables to the XSCFU to return it to the state it was in  before the maintenance work. Then, return the cable support to its original position.
