/var exceeds 90%

Solution

/var/log/messages is filled with martian error. eth04 was connected to Switch A port 5 and 6.
After removing the cable, the martian error stopped coming and /var partition no more filling rapidly.

eth04 connection to Switch-A port 5 and 6 is needed when one wants to configure Backup sync network (or sync redundancy as we call it) or backup provisioning network.
