Applies to:

Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 7.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

What are the main changes in the different Measurement Reports from a DSR release to another?

Solution

The Measurements, Events, and Alarms (MEALs) are always updated and renovated from a DSR release to another.

The main changes that can be observed on MEALs are the following:

  1. Redundant and duplicate MEALs are deprecated.
  2. Measurements renamed for consistent naming convention.
  3. Addition of new MEALs.

For each release, the "DSR Network Impact Report" document from OTN https://docs.oracle.com/en/industries/communications/diameter-signaling-router/index.html is enumerating the different changes introduced on MEALs from older DSR releases to the current one.
