Goal

What the parameter "backup file copy" option available in data export setting under "Administration-->Remote server-->Data export" option in GUI is?

Solution

The backed up data is stored in a compressed file and copied to the file management storage area of the server that was backed up. This was done using the automated task which usually run at 02:45 AM daily.

Use the Status & Manage > Files option to access this file. It can be downloaded to the external machine from the "Status & Manage > file" option after selecting the particular file and clicking the "download" button.

The another option to transfer the files is to do the Export to the external sever by selecting the option "Back up file copy" in export server configuration.

The Automatic Periodic Data Export (APDE) along with the data export function will export all the data from "filemgmt/export" directory to the export server when the option "backup file copy" selected.
