Goal

How to Address SOAM GUI Not Showing PDRA in Menu for a System Where PDRA is Activated

Solution

Here are the recommended steps to address the issue.

1. Perform a switchover if needed to ensure the SOAM without the PDRA menu is the standby SOAM. Steps below assume that SOAM-A is the one with the issue. Solution can also be applied if SOAM-B has the issue as well.

On Active NOAM GUI
Status & Manage -> HA
At bottom of screen click Edit
Select SOAM-A and set Max Allowed HA Role to "standby" then click OK.

Confirm that switchover has occured e.g., by logging in to SOAM VIP at the site and confirm that it brings up SOAM-B.

Repeat steps above to Return Max Allowed HA Role to "active"
i.e.
Status & Manage -> HA
At bottom of screen click Edit
Select SOAM-A and set Max Allowed HA Role to "Active" then click OK.

2. Execute the activation script on Standby SOAM

login on command line as root to SOAM-A i.e., server with the issue.

cd /usr/TKLC/dsr/prod/maint/loaders/activate
./load.pdraActivateStandByBscoped

3. Go to GUI of Standby SOAM using XMI and verify that menu is populated
