Solution 2202118.1 : How to Enable SIGTRAN RID Enhancement in MAP xDR Builder?

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Enable SIGTRAN RID enhancement to have a part of SCCP address in Matching ID (RID) instead of Point Code (PC).

Solution

Configuration must be set as follow:

At SS7 Transport layer, RID must be set to "International RID".
At MAP2 TDR, Reconstitution mode must be set to "Transaction Id and Global Title" and "Length of SCCP address in GT mode" to "One thirds".
Way Management must be enabled and configured on PDU Dataflow at PMF level.

Latest PIC 10.2 patches must be installed. More information in 2118743.1
