Goal

How to remove the data from the KMA's hard drives, so the KMA can be decommissioned?

Solution

Normal Flow Steps

1) Log into the KMA Console through the ILOM redirection console.
2) Choose KMA menu option # 7, "Reset to Factory Default State"
3) The KMA will show a warning that this action destroys all information and keys held in the KMA.
4) The KMA will prompt for whether or not to zeroize the KMA.  Select "Yes".
5) The KMA will prompt for a confirmation for the action.
6) Confirm the KMA is to be reset.
7) The KMA will be removed from the KMS Cluster.
8) The KMA software will be returned to factory default condition. This will take some time, and this cannot be aborted.
9) Once complete, the KMA will reboot, and will come up to the quick start menu

This will scrub all data off of the disk drive, and return the KMA hard drive to a factory reset state.
