Goal

Is it possible to upgrade an existing Exalytics T5-8 server (using Oracle Solaris 11.1.11.4.0 and Sun System Firmware 9.2.1.b 2014/07/11 14:46 ) to Exalytics release version 2.0.0.1.0?

Solution

Exalytics Release 2.0.0.1.0 is intended for Exalytics Linux servers only. It includes updates to Linux 6 and OVM for the "X" series servers. These are servers with model type: X2-4, X3-4, X4-4, X5-4 and X6-4.

This update is not applicable to Exalytics T5-8 servers.
