Information in this document applies to any platform.

Requirements for Saving and Restoring the Library Configurations Files are SL3000 Firmware level FRS_4.40 and SLC version 6.65.

Goal

Save and Restore SL3000 Configuration Files.

Solution

Open and Logon to SLConsole (minimum Version 6.65).

Navigate to:

Use the Tools > Diagnostics > Transfer File tab to generate library diagnostic files and save or restore library configuration files.

Save a Library Configuration File.

1. Select Configuration Files.
2. Click Transfer to your computer.
3. Browse to the desired directory, and enter the file name with a .tar.gz suffix.

Note: The default file name contains the serial number and date. Oracle recommends using the default name.
4. Click Save.

Restore a Library Configuration File:

1. Select Configuration Files.
2. Click Transfer to the library and restore.
3. Browse to the configuration file.
4. Click Open.

Note: Restoring the configuration file will reboot the library. You must re-login to SLConsole after the library initializes.
