 Replacement of Faulted disk in DE3-24C

WHAT SKILLS ARE REQUIRED?: No special skills required, Customer Replaceable Unit (CRU) procedure
TIME ESTIMATE: 30 Minutes
TASK COMPLEXITY: 0

REMOVAL/REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
PROBLEM OVERVIEW:
What: Need to replace a Oracle Storage DE3-24C/P [C] Hard Disk Drive/SSD.
Where: Chassis ID: Chassis S/N: Slot No. of Disk : (to be inserted by TSC)
Why : Faulty HDD/SSD.

WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?:
The system can be in normal production. Normally the System fault management system will have
marked the disk as "Faulted" .

WHAT ACTIONS ARE REQUIRED?:

IMPORTANT NOTE : If the DE3-24C which contains the faulty disk is a component in an Oracle Mini Cluster ,Please review drive replacement procedure in the Oracle MiniCluster Admimistration Guide.

For Non mini Cluster configurations:

Pull the Faulted disk . Wait 3 minutes. Insert new disk .


WHAT ACTIONS ARE REQUIRED TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE?:
Confirm Mini cluster status is in normal state and the data accessible and the pool is online with no faults (related to disks) reported.
Note: At this time we have not verified that the procedure is correct or complete .
