In this Document
Created from <SR 3-13300053151> Applies to:Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 6.0 and laterOracle Communications Performance Intelligence Center (PIC) Software - Version 10.1.0 and later Information in this document applies to any platform. GoalThe goal of this document is to recover the password for the primary default user 'admusr' if the password has been forgotten. This solution is only applicable to non-Cloud implementations. SolutionIf the password of the principal user on the server -- 'admusr' -- has been forgotten, it can be recovered via reset as long as the 'root' user's password is known and Console access is available. First log into the server's console interface as 'root' user. This can be achieved three ways on Hewlett-Packard (HP)-based hardware.
If the server requiring 'admusr' password recovery is a guest server on a Tekelec Virtual Operating Environment (TVOE) host, console access can be achieved using the virsh console menu after having logged into the TVOE server, either directly or using the three options above.
Next, execute the command as shown and provide the new password as prompted. # passwd admusr
Changing password for user admusr. New reject_username password: **** [Enter the new admusr password] Retype new reject_username password: **** [Confirm the new admusr password] passwd: all authentication tokens updated successfully.
