Applies to:
Oracle Communications EAGLE (Software) - Version E5-MS 46.0 and later
Tekelec
Goal
The parameters used for server version information are not configured appropriately on the server.
Current Settings:
EMS: ServerTokens OS
The signature potentially includes the server name, version number and modules. In addition to the server signature, Apache will provide a string in the HTTP header returned to clients requesting documents that contains name, version, etc.
Request to change the default values of the parameters in httpd.conf to the following:
ServerSignature Off
ServerTokens Prod
If the above mentioned settings are present in httpd.conf file then check that they all are not commented.
Also; comment out the following lines in httpd.conf file:
#LoadModule cgi_module modules/mod_cgi.so
#Loadmodule env_module modules/mod_env.so
#AddModule mod_env.c
#Addmodule mod_cgi.c
#Script
Solution
E5MS application does not modify the httpd.conf file
This is part of System OS installation.
At the same time, if something is needed which needs change in the conf file, E5-MS application can always do that provided ORACLE agrees for that change.
This is considered a Request For Feature (RFF).
Please contact you Oracle Sales Representative to raise a RFF SR
