Goal
Does the VSM7 with its 16Gb/s FICON (Fibre Connection) interface ports support IBM's zHPF (High Performance FICON) protocol for zOS systems?
Solution
The VSM7 does not support the zHPF protocol. None of the IBM access methods support zHPF protocol for the tape products. The zHPF protocol is a feature for disk only.
