Applies to:

Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The goal of this document is to identify what is causing the TKPIC00010 warning on the Diameter Intelligence Hub (DIH) and how can it be resolved.

Solution

This warning is raised when an interface has dropped packets or collisions. This can occur due to a network problem/event or congestion.

Problem isolation:

- Check network configuration and cabling.

- Check if no switching or routing equipment is in alarm.

- Execute command "ifconfig -a" to locate which NIC has overflow counts (errors, dropped, overruns, collisions). Note that the interface may have been named in the warning text.

Problem resolution:

Those counters are produced by a variety of different drivers and kernel modules ; the only simple way to reset them is a server reboot.
