GoalHow to properly order the correct systemboard/motherboard on a SPARC S7-2. SolutionThe SPARC S7-2 has two motherboard part numbers: 1 processor motherboard = P/N: 7334023 The following steps tells you how to find the correct motherboard part number in the ILOM snapshot or explorer and get the proper one ordered from the local stock depot: Step #1: Once they have detected the bad systemboard/motherboard in either the ILOM snapshot or explorer you will need to take this information and order the correct systemboard/motherboard from the local stock depot. 2016-03-29/13:34:48 6adcba97-19e0-4618-90a0-e2d0176d8790 SPT-8000-DH Critical Problem Status : open ---------------------------------------- FRU
Step #2: Create a Field Task with the failing SPARC S7-2 systemboard/motherboard "Part_Number" seen in the error message. Note: Always create the Field Task with the SPARC S7-2 systemboard/motherboard "Part_Number" seen in the error message. Never should you replace it with the other SPARC S7-2 systemboard/motherboard.
Note: If you must obtain the current systemboard/motherboard part number and an FMA fault diagnosis output is not available the FRU part number can also be seen via ILOM commands: -> show /SYS/MB . . . Properties: Note: If the failed SPARC S7-2 systemboard/motherboard part number is not in the local stock depot you need to have Logistics find this SPARC S7-2 systemboard/motherboard part number in another remote stock depot. Never substitute it with the other SPARC S7-2 motherboard.
