Goal

On : 5.0.2 version, PMAC- Hardware Issue

Server Hardware Configuration Error

Syscheck
---------

PMAC1 - GUI:
syscheck:
* cpu: FAILURE:: MINOR::5000000000000004 -- Server Hardware Configuration Error
* cpu: FAILURE:: 1 CPU(s) on the system, found "4" instead.

Solution

We deploy the PMAC with 1 vcpu.
If its set to 4, it must have been manually changed. We recommend it stays at 1. If set back to 1, the alarm will go away.
There is an issue where an older release PMAC cannot have more than 1 CPU, this is corrected in PM&C release 6.2.

This can be done via the TVOE host shell or do the editing of the vcpus at the GUI or by CLI
A shutdown and restart from the TVOE host shell will be required.

sudo virsh setvcpus 1 <pmacguestname>

sudo virsh shutdown <pmacguestname>
sudo virsh start <pmacguestname>
