Goal
Is it is possible to add a 2nd route toward the MSS platform as a backup route, so that the SubSystem Number (SSN) value of the outgoing messages are being changed by Eagle to the value 129 ?
This is a request from the MSS vendor in order to identify the Message Signal Unit (MSUs) coming from the backup route.
Solution
The "true" request is not to add a second backup route with a higher RC, but to change the SSN=7 to SSN=129 for the traffic which would go thru this backup route.
Eagle does not get any criteria allowing it to decide to change the SSN value.
The fact that the primary route becomes prohibited and then the traffic is routed thru the secondary route is not a triggering criteria for the Eagle to modify the SSN for the outgoing MSUs.
