Applies to:

Oracle Communications Performance Intelligence Center (PIC) Software - Version 10.1.5 to 10.1.5 [Release 10.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

With the default configuration, DataExport process is not able to export XDRs from an Oracle 12C database. This is typically the case with PIC 10.1.5 when using an ODA as DWS, in such a case any attempt to export XDRs will result in Oracle error:

ORA-28040: No matching authentication protocol

Solution

In order to fix the authentication issue between DataExport and Oracle Database 12c, the /opt/TKLCdataexport/prod/bin/runDataExport script must be replaced by the one attached to this Knowledge document.

Here is how to proceed:

  1. Log on the IXP base server as cfguser and stop dataexport process:
    pm.set off DataExport
  2. Replace /opt/TKLCdataexport/prod/bin/runDataExport with the one attached to this document
  3. To avoid Windows/Unix text file issue convert it:
    dos2unix /opt/TKLCdataexport/prod/bin/runDataExport
  4. Start datatexport process:
    pm.set on DataExport
  5. Verify that export as processed properly
