SL8500 - Power from Above the Subsystem

Solution

Many data centers are now providing power from overhead sources rather than from under the floor. Each installation needs to be reviewed by the local licensed electrician. I have attached some pictures that show a common solution in my region. The cables enter past the notch in the top of the door. They are flexible and are secured to the cross bar between Rail 1 and Rail 2 with removable clamps. The cables move enough so they do not interfere with servicing the drives, HBS modules, power supplies or card cage.
