Goal

When using programs with NDMP some files and directories never backed up.

These files have inode counts over the 32-bit limit, that is over 2^30 in number.

Solution

When using NDMP to backup filesystems and directories containing over 2^30 inodes, you must ensure that you are using the latest version of AKD firmware.

At the time of writing (June 2016) that is Appliance Firmware Release 2013.1.5.6 ( OS 8.5.6 ).

There is currently no fix for 2011.1.x ( OS 7.x.x ) firmware.
