Applies to:

Oracle Communications EAGLE (Software) - Version EAGLE 42.x and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The SNMP feature of Eagle is  already enabled, but we want to verify if the UIM/UAM was sent out from E5-MASP or not.
Because the far end did not receive the SNMP traps, we need to make sure the SNMP traps were sent out by the Eagle.
Could you advise how to check it via dump file or some other ways.

Solution

1. The only way to check the SNMP messages sent by the active MASP is to mirror the port of the switch (on which the active MASP is connected to) to one of the remaining free ports.
Then a laptop must be connected to the mirrored port and a Wireshark capture be active

2. If the far end did not receive anything, check if Eagle did not issue the UAMs 84 (IP connection unavailable) and 539 5ethernet interface down)

3. For further analaysis, check of the following commands :
- rtrv-ctrl-feat
- rtrv-sg-opts
- rtrv-snmp-host
- rtrv-snmp-opts
- rept-stat-db
- rept-stat-card:mode=full:loc=1113
- rept-stat-card:mode=full:loc=1115
- rtrv-ip-lnk
- rtrv-ip-card:loc=<active MASP>
- rtrv-ip-host:type=local:display=all
- rtrv-trbl:loc=<active MASP>
- rtrv-log:di=bkwd:num=84:num=200
- rtrv-log:di=bkwd:num=539:num=200
