Goal

df command shows incorrect size for available space

Solution

By default, ext2 and its successors (ext3, ext4)  reserve 5% of the capacity of each filesystem for use by the root user. This is done so that administrator or any root-owned daemons will not face a condition that there is no space left to work in.
That 5% is not visible and not usable by normal user.

df command will show reduced available space.

Filesystem                             Size Used   Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/vgroot-lsms_db  210G 155M 199G 1% /var/TKLC/lsms/db

/dev/mapper/vgroot-lsms_free 138G 89M 131G 1% /var/TKLC/lsms/free
/dev/mapper/vgroot-lsms_logs 36G 57M 34G 1% /var/TKLC/lsms/logs

We can see that in all the places, 5% space is hidden from the user.
