Goal
The goal is to provide the Oracle Support and Consulting Teams, as well as the Oracle Partners, with a guide to start and complete successfully the Project Hand-off (HO) to Support procedure.
Solution
Introduction
When should oracle consultancy services and oracle partners use this process?
- Technical Support Center (TSC) Hand Off is a joint acceptance process to ensure reliable product performance and validation for the delivery of sold services prior to placing product in-service and follow through on contractual compliance to the completed Statement of work (SOW) for customer paid product and services.
- TSC Hand Off is the process to transfer of information related to initial deployment or expansion projects to Oracle support.
- This process should be used when the project is nearing completion and customer has a GO LIVE date.
- Consider proper planning and arrange for ample time to work through any issues or matters needing corrective actions found during the TSC Hand Off process
- Projects deployed should be on the latest release of the solution being delivered.
- Establishing remote access is very time consuming. Ample time should be provided to ensure tasks are completed to meet customer GO LIVE date.
Guidelines
- Contact Customer Access Services (CAS) and create an external Service Request (SR) using the Oracle Consulting Customer Support Identifier, CSI 15292661 if it is a project performed by Oracle Consulting, or using the Customer Support Identifier or the Partner CSI if it is a project performed by an Oracle Partner.
- Email Support Leadership informing that the HO process has been initiated and providing the SR number.
- Provide remote access method. Remote access is a required component of the Hand Off process, and must be in place when the TSC Hand Off process is initiated.
- Provide the required document and relevant logs/data per product. Attach it to the SR in My Oracle Support (MOS):
