Goal

We noticed that in our SBCs there is no record of CPU activity inside sipd logs or in h323 logs. Is this specific due to huge number of users or something else?

Solution

The SBC needs a log-level of NOTICE, INFO, TRACE or DEBUG for sipd or h323d in order to print CPU activity. The "Setting Task Log Levels" section in the Troubleshooting Manual (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E50366_01/doc/sbc_scx640_troubleshooting.pdf) contains more details about log levels.

Check the output of command "show loglevel sipd" on the SBC to see what log level it is currently using. Here is an example :

# show loglevel sipd
Log Levels for process sipd:
loglevel=NOTICE
