Goal

Does ACSLS 8.4 require specific SL8500 firmware level?

Solution

ACSLS will work with most older SL8500 firmware levels.

However, if an 8500 Bulkcap upgrade or LTO7 drives are desired, then the minimum 8500 library code 8.51 is required. Reference <Document 1447566.1> for additional details regarding firmware / microcode level recommendations for the SL8500 library.

The SL8500 Field Release Notes document has information on the minimum version of ACSLS required for the SL8500 firmware level.
