Goal

If it is needed to activate Diameter Connection Layer DCL trigger points for Mediation, this document shows up the required steps.

Solution

The DCL trigger point (peer-to-peer messaging using CEx, DWx, DPx trigger points) are introduced with DSR 7.0.x and above releases.

Run the following command on the active SOAM to activate the DCL triggers.

#iset -fvalue=1 CapmOptions where "varId = 'Enable_DCL_Triggers'"

Note:-

By default this option is not active, as the trigger screen looks very big and it will have 12 additional trigger points which all may not require to the customer.

Please refer to the "Diameter Mediation User's Guide" for available triggers related to it and the information on associating the rule set to a triggers.
