Goal

Is it possible to roll back Exalytics Patchset Release 2.0.0.0.0 (R2) to Patchset (PS) 5?

Solution

There is no roll back for Exalytics patches at this time. The only way to roll back a patch set is to reimage the system. This requires a backup up of everything installed on the server, and is the equivalent of a new install. Applications can only be restored, from backup, if the current version is certified on the previous patch level (PS5 in this case). For documentation on how to reimage a system to PS5, see  Reinstalling and Configuring the Oracle Exalytics Patchset 5 Base Image (1.0.0.7) on an Exalytics Machine.
