Goal

After reboot the oracle database connection on IXP DatawareHouse is no longer working, how can this be fixed ?

Solution

If the server is rebooted without stopping the Oracle DB properly it may not come up after the server is started.

To fix this log on a grid user to the oracle DWH server and run the following commands:

srvctl stop database -d IXP
srvctl start database -d IXP -o OPEN

This will gracefully restart the oracle DB and fix the issue.
