Oracle Communications Subscriber Data Management (SDM) - Version SDM 9.3 to SDM 9.3 [Release SDM 9.0]
Tekelec

Goal

It may happen that replication does not work from the reference protected site to the replica site but the other way round. This document explains why and what to do to prevent this.

Solution

It was found that customer had wrongly modified the ownership rights of following directories in reference protected site to root user

/var/TKLC/SDMBin
/var/TKLC/SDMDb
/var/TKLC/SDMLog

For ex:-
root@xxx]# ls -la /var/TKLC/SDMBin
total 78236
drwxr-xr-x 22 root root 4096 Mar 28 12:46 .
dr-xr-xr-x 21 root root 4096 Sep 8 2015 ..
-rw-r----- 1 mysql root 186830 Mar 28 12:46 AMBDAMDBCHBPCR1B.err
-rw-rw---- 1 mysql mysql 56 Sep 8 2015 auto.cnf
drwx------ 2 mysql mysql 4096 Mar 26 07:25 bluealm_2
drwx------ 2 mysql mysql 12288 Mar 26 07:26 bluedb

The ownership rights were corrected to mysql user using following commands:-

chown mysql:mysql /blue/var/dbbin
chown mysql:mysql /var/TKLC/SDMDb
chown mysql:mysql /var/TKLC/SDMLog

After changing the rights blade were restarted and system was recovered.
