Goal

Can QLogic Networking Card be Used for OVM Running on Exalytics?

Solution

As per Exalytics In-Memory Machine for Linux Release Notes QLogic card cannot be used for networking purpose on OVM's running on Exalytics Machines.

Instead use on-board 10GBE Fiber card for networking with OVM.

Exalytics PM team replied with the same message for confirmation and in the future releases of Exalytics Machines it is still unknown to use QLogic card for OVM. It depends on the card which they use for Exalytics Machines and their corresponding support with OVM
