How To Terminate / Disconnect A Stale Established Connection to the Query Server

Here is how you can terminate / disconnect the stale connection:

Run the following commands as root user on the QS.

# mysqladmin processlist

Kill the connection based on its ID

# mysqladmin kill <Id>

# mysqladmin processlist

On HLRR 4.1, please use the following commands:

# Imysqld -V
# Imysql.admin proc stat
# Imysql.admin kill <Id>
# Imysql.admin proc stat
