GoalTLoad discussion as it relates to T10000 tape drives. SolutionTload is now available to load microcode on T10000A/B/C tape drives. This application allows a customer to upgrade microcode on T10000A/B/C/D tape drives over the data path. It is a command line based application that is easy to use and only requires that you have the code load file that you will be using for the upgrade available on the system. The current version of TLoad requires a Solaris or Linux operating system. This application is packaged in with the current microcode for T10000A/B/C tape drives. A tload_readme file includes run instructions. This file is packaged into the tload.tar file and is also attached to this KB. Note: Tload can be used to upgrade code on T10000D tape drives if the drive is currently running on 4.10.106 or higher code. Only load the functional code file using tload. If you are running on code prior to 4.10.106 then you will need to use VOP to upgrade the drive code. (and load all 5 code files)
