Goal

Reporting Studio doesn't work on all E5-MS servers
 

Solution

The steps to be performed on each site are:

  1. Install VNC Server on the system
  2. Open VNC Server session on system e.g. vncserver :66
  3. Once the vncserver is started, stop the i-net clear reports in /usr/local/i-net Clear Reports   
    ./stopListener.sh
     
  4. Set display to the vncserver   
    DISPLAY=:66
     
  5. export the DISPLAY variable   
    export DISPLAY
     
  6. Start the standalone configuration program from Clear Reports directory.   
    /usr/local/i-net Clear Reports
     
  7. Create a new Default configuration using the information from the Reporting Studio Upgrade/Installation Guide for the settings needed for i-net Clear reports.
  8. Exit the configuration program and start the listener   
    ./startListener.sh
