Goal

Procedure to clear LSMS Alarm "The shadow files are out of sync between primary and secondary" and alarm "The password files are out of sync between primary and secondary" observed in syscheck as follows

* users: FAILURE:: The shadow files are out of sync between primary and secondary
* users: FAILURE:: MINOR::5000000000040000 -- Platform Health Check Failure
* users: FAILURE:: The password files are out of sync between primary and secondary
One or more module in class "lsmshc" FAILED

Solution

Login to Active LSMS server as root user and execute following command to copy the shadow file to its mate server (Standby) to solve/clear this alarm.

As root user,

scp -p /etc/shadow mate:/etc/

Example:

[root@lsmspri ~]$scp -p /etc/shadow mate:/etc/

[root@lsmspri ~]$
