Applies to:HP LTO6 Tape Drive - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]HP LTO4 Tape Drive - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases] HP LTO5 Tape Drive - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases] Information in this document applies to any platform. GoalThis guide describes the process of changing the HP LTO 5 and 6 drive IP address(and the external Dione card, which was shipped with HP LTO4 drives connected in our encryption environment, OKM/KMS). HP LTO 5 and 6 drives are the only generations that are shipped with native Ethernet port. The port on the drive end is actually an iADT port, which needs a special converter cable, which comes with each library drive tray, to convert the connector to RJ45 connection. HP LTO 1,2,3,4 drives do not have this port. How ever HP LTO4 can be ordered with Dione card, which is an extranal interface chip, which has a native Ethernet port and this same procedure applies to that card as well. Solution1. The drive default IP address is 10.0.0.1 / 255.255.255.0 See VOP pictures in the attachment. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
