Goal

How to configure SNMP traps to be sent to external system?

Solution

Simple configuration

  1. Connect on NSP Weblogic1 as root
  2. Open platcfg menu:
    su - platcfg
  3. Select NSP Configuration
  4. Select SNMP Agent Configuration
  5. Select OK and press enter
  6. Select Exit button twice

Customized configuration

SNMP configuration file (/etc/snmp/snmpd.conf) can be edited and adapted to monitoring platform needs.

For example, adding a second trapsess line will allow to send traps to a second monitoring system.

A restart of TKLCsnmp service is required to take changes into account.
