Goal

How to check default TCP parameters (such as "Max Retransmission TimeOut", "TimeOut after sending SYN"...) configured on a given system?

Solution

As admusr, connect to one SO server and run the following command:

$ sudo sysctl -A | grep tcp

The output includes all TCP parameters configured on the system and looks like following:
