Start /SP/console flashing junk characters or no output in an Oracle Server X5-2L

Basically the host speed needs to be set on 115200

To reset the system board to normal operating values:

--> set /SP/serial/host/ pendingspeed=115200

--> ls /SP/serial/host

Targets:

Properties:

commitpending = (Cannot show property)

flowcontrol = none

pendingflowcontrol = none

pendingspeed = 115200

speed = 9600

-->set commitpending=true

You may observe a few secs of hung state and might have to reconnect.

After above settings are taken place you can get the console with correct characters.
