Applies to:

Oracle Communications Performance Intelligence Center (PIC) Software - Version 9.0.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The trace function (not query) in ProTrace will generate an exception "ORA-00942: table or view does not exist" if the Session View containing XDR sessions are stored on a Pool where one of the XDR Storage is in MAINTENANCE mode and not reachable.

What needs to be done to make the trace work again until the XDR Storage in MAINTENANCE is fixed ?

Solution

To avoid the oracle error the XDR Storage in maintenance must be removed from the IXP DWS POOL.

To do so:

  1. Connect to the NSP GUI as Admin user and enter Centralized Configuration application.
  2. Navigate to Equipment Registry and open the tree to display the XDR storages present in the IXP pool Sites/IXPxxxx/DWH/IXPxxxx_Pool.
  3. Select the XDR Storage that has been set in MAINTENANCE mode and hit the "delete" button
  4. Navigate to Mediation and apply changes on the concerned IXP subsystem.
  5. The trace will now work without error. Once the XDR storage is fixed it can be added back in the Pool.
