Goal
This document assists with how to find the fault code on the SL150 Modular Tape Library
Solution
To find and view the Fault Code on a SL150 you can find it from the Web GUI and also from the Local OP Panel.
The steps to find the fault code from the Local OP Panel on the front of the library are below:
- From the home screen press on the "Library Health" indicator. This will be either "Operational", "Degraded", or "Failed".
- A pop up window will show up and will show you the 4 digit numerical fault code.
- The pop up will also show you the address or position for the failed or degraded component listed in the "Suspect Components" column.
- Please provide the fault code and then the address or position of the Suspect Component to Oracle Support.

The steps to find the fault code from the Web GUI are below:
- Access the Web GUI of the SL150 by inputting the IP address into a Web Browser.
- Log into the Web GUI with an "admin" user role.
- From the main Web GUI screen click on the "Library Health" indicator. This will be either "Operational", "Degraded", or "Failed".
- A pop up window will show up and will show you the 4 digit numerical fault code.
- The pop up will also show you the address or position for the failed or degraded component listed in the "Suspect Components" column.
- Please provide the fault code and then the address or position of the Suspect Components to Oracle Support.
