Goal
This document outlines how to Download and Install the Oracle FS System Manager (GUI) client.
Solution
To Download the Oracle FS System Manager (GUI) client, open a web-browser and in the URL type the shared IP address of the FS1-2 to access the landing page. Mouse click on the Management Software link:
From the Management Software page, download the Windows Installer (Recommended) or use the JAR and Run Scripts to manage single and multiple systems:
- For Windows Installer (Recommended) download either the x86.msi or the x64.msi file, the x86 is for 32-bit windows operating systems and the x64 is for 64-bit windows operating systems. Once the msi file has been downloaded double mouse click the msi file to launch the installer and follow the instructions to complete the Oracle FS System Manager (GUI) install.
- For users that don't want to run the Windows Installer (Recommended) can download the JAR and Run Scripts. Download either the .zip or .tar file into a separate folder to be extracted. To run the Oracle FS System Manager double mouse click on runOracleFSSystemManager batch file for Windows systems or execute the runOracleFSSystemManager.sh script for Unix systems to launch the Oracle FS System Manager (GUI).
NOTE: FS1-2 on release 6.2.0 and higher, Java version 1.8 or higher is required when using the JAR and Run Scripts. FS1-2 on release below 6.2.0, Java version 1.7 or higher is required when using the JAR and Run Scripts.
