Have determined that the problem is due to a defective interface card within the SL3000 drive tray.

Goal

Need Part Number for Defective Interface Card on Drive Tray for IBM LTO5.

can not seem to find a valid part number for the board. also hoping to get a new cable as well. Attached a photo of the parts below. The cable shows an IBM part number but hoping that there is an Oracle equivalent.

Bel Card

Bel Card

Solution

That is the Belisarius encryption card and the P/N for the card is under the OKM encryption solution on the System Handbook.

If your customer isn't running OKM encryption you can just simply bypass the card.  If this is the case then let me know and I'll send you a procedure on how to bypass the Belisarius card.

If your customer is running encryption then you can order the latest Belisarius P/N 7301517.  That P/N will contain the Belisarius card and the cables that are needed.
