How to create a new SGA port in EMS Probuilder?
Solution
1. EAGLE TERMINAL AND IP INFORMATION
Complete the following table to ensure the necessary information is available and to dedicate the required Eagle terminals to the EMS. The following information must be available prior to the start of this procedure in order to successfully complete this procedure:

2. EAGLE COMMAND TERMINAL CONFIGURATION
Before starting this procedure stop:
- Fault Manager
- Command Manager Interface
1. Issue the command to inhibit the terminal that will be configured as COMMAND.
inh-trm:trm=XX
XX=COMMAND Terminal recorded in Section 2
2. Issue the command to configure the COMMAND terminal settings.
chg-trm:trm=XX: type=telnet:all=no:tmout=30
3. Issue the command to allow the COMMAND terminal.
alw-trm:trm=XX
4. Issue the command to retrieve the status of the COMMAND terminal.
rtrv-trm:trm=XX
Verify the terminal type is ‘TELNET’ and all parameters are set to ‘NO’
3. EMS PROBUILDER PORT PARAMETER CONFIGURATION
1. Login as user ‘netboss’
2. Open ProBuilder from Netboss Menu
3. Navigate to the TklcEagleEMSFaultComm Parameters configuration:
- In the left pane expand ‘TklcEagleEMSFaultComm
- Click on CommandMainRoutine
- In the right pane click the ‘Parameters’ tab
4. Rename the default script names using names that will uniquely identify each Eagle terminal. For example:
<clli>_COMMAND
5. Edit the parameters of each script file to match the customer’s Eagle configuration.
- If the Eagle Terminals are running in secure mode (SSH) ensure to change the TCP port to 22 for the TX_CONNECT parameter
- Click File > Save > Template and Parameters to save the configuration.
6. Right click on “CommandMainRoutine” and click “Build Scripts”
Scripts will be built and appear under CommandMainRoutine
7. Right click on ‘TklcEagleEMSFaultComm and select ‘New Chain File’
The new chain file will appear under ‘TklcEagleEMSFaultComm
Change the name of the new chain file to match the name of the first script file created in step 8 and press Enter
8. Drag the matching CommandMainRoutine script from the left pane onto the first position in the new chain file.
- Click File > Save > Chain File to save the changes
Repeat steps 7 and 8 for each CommandMainRoutine script created in Step 6.
9. Create Backout Scripts
- Click on Backout under TklcEagleEMSFaultComm
- Click Build Scripts
10. Create the Backout Chain file to be used by each SGA port.
- Right click on ‘TklcEagleEMSFaultComm and select ‘New Chain File’
The new chain file will appear under ‘TklcEagleEMSFaultComm
- Change the name of the new chain file to ‘FMSBackout’
- Press Enter
- Drag the Backout script created in step 9 from the left pane onto the first position in the new Backout chain file.
- Click File > Save > Chain File to save the changes
11. Move to the port startup configuration menu.
- In the left pane, click on ‘TklcEagleEMSFaultComm
12. Click ‘New…’ to create a new port.
- Name each port a unique name that will associate to each Chain File.
For Example: <clli>_COMMAND
13. SGA Port Configuration:
- Select ‘Application’ in the Type column for each COMMAND port
- Enter //bin//sh 2>&1 in the Comm. Port column for each COMMAND port
- Select ‘TklcEagleEMSFaultComm from the Interface column for each COMMAND port
- Check the flagged column such that the EMS port initializes upon startup.
- Select the chain file associated to each EMS port under ‘SU Chain’
- Select ‘FMSBackout’ under ‘BO Chain’
14. Repeat Steps 12 -15 for COMMAND port BUT use TekelecEagleCMI-SMA01 in step 13.
15. Save the Agent Port Settings.
Select: File > Save > Save Agent Port Settings
16. Start the Probuilder Engine.
- In the top left corner, click the Green button to start the Probuilder engine.
17. Start Command Manager Interface
18. Exit Probuilder
