Goal
Why TPD based DWS installation on Gen8 is failing using PIC 10.1.5?
PIC 10.1.5 Mediation software is not supporting DWS fresh install because it is based on TPD7 and the partition creation have not been adapted to use the new HP tools.
Solution
Two options exist.
Use the MOS note to install a DWS based on Oracle Linux 7

- Oracle ASM and Database on Third-Party Server Installation Guide for Performance Intelligence Center (PIC) Products (<Document 2062491.1>)
- Mediation Data WareHouse Server (DWS) on Third-Party Server Installation Guide for Performance Intelligence Center (PIC) products (<Document 2028670.1>)
Use 10.1.0 softwares
Use PIC 10.1.0 mediation software with TPD 6.5 and PIC 10.1.0 documentation and finally upgrade the DTO package as explained in PIC 10.1.5 upgrade guide chapter 7.8.
This second option does not support HP Gen9 servers.
