Goal

There are fuse alarms on the LAB Eagle system;

1310.0082 ** FUSE PANEL 41xx Alarm in Fuse Panel
2262.0082 ** FUSE PANEL 51xx Alarm in Fuse Panel

This is a LAB system, and these shelves are not in use.

So, system is sending an alarm for unused shelves.

Solution

This solution is for Part number of Control Shelf Back plane is 850-0330-06/07 and for the Eagle with only one Frame.

The Fuse alarm is a fake one as the system only have 1 frame installed, and the alarm is for un-installed extension frame.
The alarm indication on each frame fuse and alarm panel is controlled by the Rack alarm port outputs.
In the Control Shelf Back plane 850-0330-06/07 the Rack Alarm ports are

J13 CF00=11XX
J15 EF00=21XX
J32 EF01=31XX
J46 EF02=41XX
J61 EF03=51XX
J68 EF04=61XX

As the alarms are for 41xx and 51xx it means corresponding RALM cables of:
J46 EF02=41XX
J61 EF03=51XX

As there is only one frame installed, there will be only one cable connected only to J-13.
Need to make system understand that there is no frame EF02 (41xx) and EF03 (51xx) installed and there are no alarms with respect to those frames.

Please follow the procedure below and let me know the outcome.

• Unplug the cable from port J-13
• Plug IN the cable which was removed from J-13 to J-46.
• Wait for 2 minutes
• Unplug the cable from J-46 and plug it back to its original location J-13
• Check for the alarm status in the Eagle (alarm for 41xx).
• Unplug the cable from port J-13
• Plug IN the cable which was removed from J-13 to J-61.
• Wait for 2 minutes
• Unplug the cable from J-61 and plug it back to its original location J-13
• Check for the alarm status in the Eagle (alarm for 51xx).
• If the alarm is still present, unseat the MDAL, wait for 3 minutes and reseat it.
• If the alarm is still present, do a MASP Switch over.

If alarm is still present continue with these steps:
1. remove RALM cable from J13
2. check if alarm is cleared
3. remove RALM cable connected on J13 from FAP end (the other end is connected to FAP of control frame)
4. check if alarm is cleared
5. While cable is removed; remove MDAL and wait for 3 minutes
6. Check if alarm is cleared
7. While cable is removed; perform MASP switchover and see if alarm is cleared
8. If Alarm is still present; connect back the cable and Contact Oracle Technical Support.
