Applies to:

Oracle Communications EAGLE (Software) - Version EMS 43.x and later
Tekelec

Goal

Terminal logout alarms observed on RESYNC, GENERAL and COMMAND ports of the EMS.

Solution

tmout parameter on Eagle terminals is set at 10 minutes
tmout is the Maximum channel idle time. It specifies maximum amount of time in minutes that a login session can remain idle (that is, no user input) on a terminal before being automatically logged off.
This value should be set to zero (i.e. never logout) for General, Command and Resync Terminals.

Kindly run the following commands at respective eagle STPs:

chg-trm:trm=xx:tmout=0:

where xx is the Eagle terminal corresponding to the EMS SGA ports
