Goal

Answer to the question on how to add an XSB from a decommissioned domain into an in-use domain without the associated I/O.

Solution

Recommend using the setdcl command with the no-io option set.

Example:  To move the CPU/memory resource only, and not the associated I/O, from XSB's 04-0 and 05-0 from decommissioned domain#1 into domain#0

XSCF> setdcl -d 0 -s no-io=true 04 05

Check the results with showdcl -va

XSCF> showdcl -va
DID   LSB   XSB   Status   No-Mem   No-IO    Float    Cfg-policy
00                     Running                             FRU
        00    00-0                 False       False    False
        01    01-0                 False       False    False
        02    02-0                 False       False    False
        03    03-0                 False       False    False
        04    04-0                 False       True     False     <<<<<
        05    05-0                 False       True     False     <<<<<

The boards 04-0 and 05-0 can now be added into the domain as required.
