The service processor chip can be effected by Solaris Fault Management Architecture (FMA). Recommendation below are the steps to clear a SYS SERVICE led from ON to OFF. If the appliance kit software is older than 2011.8.1 then open a Service Request with the NAS team to clean-up the FMA logs. Some newer Appliance Kit Software may still have older FMA logs that were never cleaned-up after a upgrade and may also need to cleared.
Go back to the SPkey combination is esc shift 9 to change from CLI to SP prompt
If the Appliance Kit reports the hardware ok then correct the issue in ILOM. -> cd /SYS/MB/P1/D1
-> set clear_fault_action=true or -> set /SYS/MB/P1/D1 clear_fault_action=true > reset /SP Are you sure you want to reset /SP (y/n)? y Log back-in to the Service Processor after 2-5 minutesSun(TM) Integrated Lights Out Manager
